Anything but Icelandic meat soup: fish soup, mushroom soup, Asian, vegan — no borders apply here.

Here's how it works

The Rules

There are two categories: best Icelandic meat soup and best soup of any other kind.
A seven-person jury tastes every soup and scores it.
A maximum of 12 soups compete in each category, so places are limited.
Contestants bring roughly one litre of soup in a pot.
There are induction hobs on site for heating your soup.
Each contestant portions their own soup, but a neutral person carries it to the jury. That keeps the tasting fair and impartial.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners in both categories.
