Every neighborhood in Hvolsvöllur gets its own color — and they compete to decorate their streets in all the colors of the rainbow for the festival.
We encourage all residents to decorate their surroundings in their neighbourhood colour. Flags, banners, balloons and lights, anything that brightens up the street. Prizes are awarded for the best decorated street and the most fun garden, presented at the family entertainment on Saturday.
